Why don't Romanians know that this brand is Romanian?
More often than not, we hold an admiration with no reasoned basis for products or services "from abroad". Why? Well, for the simple fact that they are from abroad. Is that all? Yes, that's all.
And is that alright? No, it isn't. It shows that we still have a great deal of work to do at the level of our collective psychology, but that is a broad subject and, perhaps, too hard to digest right now. We are genuinely delighted when we discover that, for instance, an engagement ring on the finger of a good friend is handcrafted in Romania. Really, in Romania? Well, yes! And from there, you start taking an interest and find out that there is gold jewellery designed and handcrafted in Romania. Appreciated by foreigners and Romanians alike for over 23 years. For our country, this "brand age" is a venerable one, given that we are only in "year 27" after communism. We asked Lucian Constantinescu of Diamante.ro why he chose discretion. "We took on this confusion, you might say. The fact that absolutely everyone was convinced, until not long ago, that FIRESQ was a foreign brand actually helped us, to a certain extent, at a time when Romanians weren't overly trusting of products made in Romania. Now the situation is starting to change, and that delights us. Yes, we are a 100% Romanian workshop and, from the very first day, we have offered quality and value. We have loyal clients, but also a steady percentage of "newcomers" who, year after year, strengthen our position on the market." If we bear in mind that we are dealing with a demanding market, we understand much better why the owners of Diamante.ro/FIRESQ preferred the option of "controlled modesty". When you buy a pair of gold wedding rings or earrings with internationally certified diamonds, you want a purchase you can trust. Jewellery isn't cheap; it is valuable. Knowing this, it seems only natural to want as many guarantees as possible before the purchase, during the purchase and, very importantly, after the purchase. Lucian Constantinescu (Diamante.ro): "In practice, we have implemented a complex system that makes the purchase very safe, whether it takes place on the website or in the shop. We make sure that every client has all the information they need before buying. This is where the consultant's role comes in: by phone or face to face, the buyer obtains the maximum amount of information so that the purchase is made with full understanding. Through the brick & click system, the client has the same experience online as offline. In the physical shop, we have installed tablets where the online diamond stock can be consulted and where the models can be configured in several million combinations. As for after-purchase care, I believe we are among the few who provide full service and guarantees as any serious workshop should. We don't play with our clients' feelings or with their money. We know that buying a piece of diamond jewellery is a very long-term investment, well beyond the moment of surprise when it is given as a gift."
